WEATHER BLOG: Gorgeous Weekend
Very comfortable weather will continue with a ridge of high pressure amplifying over the region today. A few clouds will roll through today as well. Tonight will remain mostly cloudy with mild conditions.
Sunday will be really warm with with more sunshine and a strong low level jet streaming warm/moist air into the region. Temperatures will come very close to 70 and may break the record high for that day.
Monday will feature plenty of clouds as the broad area of rainfall approaches the region. Temperatures will remain warm with the cold front lagging behind. Rain will hold off until the afternoon because this cold front pushes along very slowly.
Slightly cooler weather will move in for Tuesday with the cold front passing through. A mid-level dry slot will keep clouds out of the picture with mainly sunny skies, but it will be breezy with the passage of the front.
For Wednesday, temperatures will remain steady in the upper 50s with continued sunshine with high pressure in place. Temperatures may warm up even more than this with another system quickly racing northeastward and another surge of warmer air is possible. Many discrepancies remain in the models regarding this system.
