Several Injured, Trooper & Suspect Dead In Richmond Bus Station Shooting
RICHMOND (WJZ) -- A Virginia state trooper is dead, along with the suspect, following a shooting at a busy bus station Thursday.
State and local police swarmed the Greyhound bus station after reports of an active shooter.
Virginia state police were already there for a training exercise when gunfire erupted.
Police say Trooper Chad Dermyer approached a man inside the entrance and the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times.
Trooper Dermyer later died at the hospital.
