Police: Three Hospitalized After Overnight Shootings
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Three men were hospitalized following a pair of shootings that played out across Baltimore overnight, police said Tuesday morning.
Patrol officers were called to an area hospital about 11:30 p.m. after two men, ages 25 and 38, walked in with gunshot wounds to the leg, abdomen and buttocks, according to police.
The victims told investigators they were walking in the 2900 block of Riggs Avenue in Southwest Baltimore when they were confronted by two men. At some point, at least one suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victims several times, according to police.
Officers on patrol were called to the scene of a separate shooting in Northeast Baltimore about 5:20 a.m. When officers arrived in the 800 block of East Belvedere Avenue, they found a 24-year-old man shot in the shoulder, according to police. That victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The victim was walking along East Belvedere when a man carrying a handgun approached him and asked if he had any money, according to police. The suspect then shot him before running off.
All three victims are expected to survive.
