60-Year-Old Woman Dead In Anne Arundel County Crash

WEST RIVER, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman is dead after a crash in Anne Arundel County on Thursday morning.

Officers responded to Muddy Creek Road at the intersection of Owensville Road at around 11 a.m. Thursday for a multi-vehicle crash.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling southbound struck a Ford Fusion that was making a left turn onto northbound Muddy Creek Road.

Witnesses said there was a red light along Muddy Creek Road, but the Jeep moved into the intersection anyway, striking the Ford Fusion.

The driver of the Ford Fusion, 60-year-old Elisabeth Gates Feldt, of West River, was pronounced dead on the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The Jeep driver, 25-year-old Nathaniel Boddie Garrett has non-life-threatening injuries.

Drugs and alcohol don't appear to be a cause in the crash. Police are still investigating.
