ODENTON, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County officials say a man has been seriously injured following a crash involving a school bus and car in Odenton.

County fire spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton says the crash happened about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Betson Avenue. Authorities say no students were on the bus at the time.

A 25-year-old man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.

Officials say the driver of the school bus refused medical attention at the scene.

The intersection of Telegraph Road and Betson remained shut down at 8:30 a.m.
