Tuesday begins with cool weather across Maryland

BWI set a record low temperature early Monday morning, after recording a temperature of 52°. Fall-like weather remains in the First Alert Forecast through this evening.

Temperatures cool through the 60s and back into the 50s overnight, under a mostly clear sky. A light breeze will continue through the night. Plan on a bright and cool start to Tuesday across central Maryland and the Eastern Shore.

You may want a light jacket in the morning

Tuesday begins with lots of sunshine. Temperatures will dip into the low and mid-50s before 8 a.m. Tuesday. It will be coolest away from the bay and outside of Baltimore City; rural Frederick, Baltimore, Harford and Cecil Counties. If you have a student leaving early in the day, you may want to send them with a light jacket.

Sunshine sends temperatures back into the lower 70s in many areas by noon.

Temperatures are forecast to peak in the upper 70s and lower 80s late Tuesday afternoon. Humidity remains low and a breeze will add to the pleasantly warm feel. A few clouds will bubble up by mid-afternoon. Sprinkles or a spotty rain shower cannot be totally ruled out. The vast of majority of Marylanders will not have to deal with any rain.

Wet weather returns late week

Clouds increase heading into the middle of the workweek, ahead of our next front. A few showers are possible on Wednesday, mainly later in the day and across western Maryland.

Wet weather expands eastward on Thursday evening. Rain could be briefly heavy. But, overall, it won't be a washout later this week. Severe weather is unlikely. Another round of wet weather is possible Friday evening and night.

While there could be an isolated or stray shower Saturday, most of the day looks nice with afternoon temperatures in the 80s. A strong reinforcing cold front will bring us another push of fall-like air on Sunday.

Sunday afternoon will be refreshing, with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

Have a great week,

Cutter
