ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- Anne Arundel County is moving forward with a number of new COVID-19 restrictions that are more strict than the statewide order that took effect earlier this week, the county announced.

Starting at 5 p.m. Friday, all social gatherings are limited to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors under the order County Executive Steuart Pittman signed Thursday evening.

CORONAVIRUS RESOURCES:

Beginning Monday, all youth athletics on county fields and facilities will be suspended.

On November 20, indoor dining capacities at restaurants, bars and foodservice establishments will be reduced from 50% capacity to 25% capacity.

Statewide, indoor dining is capped at 50% capacity under Gov. Larry Hogan's order, though counties are able to enact tougher rules locally.
