The school-bus security camera captured what began as a routine stop for these students in central Pennsylvania.
STUDENT:

But as kids waited at the door, the bus started to move. A group of quick-thinking students jumped into action after they noticed the bus driver limp over the steering wheel, foot still on the gas pedal. But within seconds, sophomore Alexis Smith and senior Skyla Horton forced the bus to brake. I went up front and went behind Alexis, and then she put her full force onto the brakes, so I fell.
STUDENT:

Brake! Brake! Brake! And then I jumped back up and pulled the parking brake so nothing further could happen.
TOM HANSON:

Smith then called for help over the bus's radio--

Our bus driver just passed out.
TOM HANSON:

--and checked the pulse of the driver. None of the passengers were hurt. I knew that he needed medical attention, so that's why I just jumped into helping him.
