Director of Texas DPS pans police response to Uvalde shooting

The director of Texas' Department of Public Safety is now calling the police response to last month's school shooting in Uvalde "an abject failure." In testimony to the state senate Tuesday, Director Steven McCraw squarely blamed Pete Arredondo—the Uvalde CISD police chief and said the shooting could've been stopped in just minutes.
