Breaking overnight, police say a group of firefighters were ambushed by a man who deliberately set a wildfire to draw them out. Two were killed, another was hurt. This happened in the city of Coeur d'Alene in the northern part of the state. A suspect was later found dead. CBS News Correspondent Omar Villafranca is in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Omar, good morning. What do we know about this attack right now? Well, let me tell you some of the details that we do, Michael. This, as you mentioned, came in as a fire call. And when fire crews started showing up, the sheriff says that's when they started taking fire. So much fire, in fact, that they thought it was coming from possibly more than one shooter. Several people were hit, three. Two were killed, one was in surgery. And the sheriff says that firefighter is fighting for his life, but is stable. Now, when the shooting was happening, you had a response from Idaho and nearby Spokane, Washington. 300-plus were here. We hear there was sniper teams, even sniper teams in the helicopter. There was a brief exchange of gunfire with the suspect. And they ended up finding a suspect using cell phone data, dead. Now, keep in mind, this was a wildfire as well that was going on. So they had to go and scoop up the suspect's body and kind of disturb the scene. They plan to go back there later on today. What we don't know is the suspect's name, motive, or what kind of exact weapon that he had.

Now, Omar, have we learned anything about the victims so far? We have. It was two firefighters, one from Coeur d'Alene Fire and another from the Kootenai County Fire & Rescue. And there was actually a procession. We want to show you some video here. They were taken from here in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to the coroner's office in Spokane, Washington, 35-plus miles. And in that procession, people were on overpasses. They were on the side of the road waving flags, honoring these firefighters who died here, were killed in the line of duty.
