Senate confirms Merrick Garland as U.S. attorney general
The Senate voted overwhelmingly to confirm Merrick Garland as U.S. attorney general, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who refused to give him a vote when he was nominated to the Supreme Court five years ago.
