Derek Herrera was paralyzed by a sniper's bullet in Afghanistan. Friday at Camp Pendleton, Calif., he walked to receive the Bronze Star for heroism with robotic leg braces. Captain Herrera is retiring after 8.5 years in the Marine Corps.
