Former Santa Monica mayor dies in plane crash

The FAA and NTSB are investigating what caused a small plane crash on a Southern California beach that killed the former mayor of Santa Monica. A single-engine Cessna en route to Malibu crashed on the beach and flipped upside down, killing Rex Minter.
