Food banks prepare for increased demand as pandemic-era benefits end

Wednesday marks the end of extra benefits for Americans who rely on federal help to buy food. Low-income families in dozens of states who take part in SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, will see their food benefits shrink, as the cost of food is still on the rise.
