We went to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Fire Station Four on a rare day when Colton visits. He's pretty popular, despite kind of being an arsonist himself. This is firefighter David Sasser's home. Watch Colton down there in 3, 2. [FIRE ALARM] Immediately got a phone call from the monitoring agency saying, hey, we've received a fire alarm. We can check your cameras. They said, actually, we see a fire in your living room. My heart sank.

Colton snagged a phone charger, gave it a good bite, and got a surprise. This fire fizzled out on the rug, but last year in Tulsa, nearly the same thing happened.

That wasn't that long after we had the issue that Colton ran into, and they did not have the same outcome.

The critters inside made it out safely, but the house was significantly damaged by lithium batteries, the cause of thousands of fires every year. Here in North Carolina, Colton's little incident was something the assistant chief just shared with friends until this week. Our fire chief said, hey, do you mind if we use that video? Let's send that message far and wide. Did you expect that it would go this wide? No. [LAUGHS] Not at all.

He just eats stuff, and it's our fault that we leave stuff around. I looked up. I thought there might be something in lithium ion that was particularly tasty, and the internet just said it's his chewing and curious nature, which was not the answer I wanted. Just eat stuff, that's what they do. All right, at least it ended well.
