Director Lulu Wang on exploring collectivism vs. individualism in "The Farewell"
The new movie “The Farewell” is getting praise for its touching portrait of a family. It tells the story of family members coping with the news their grandmother has terminal cancer. Comedian and rapper Awkwafina plays Billi, her granddaughter, who struggles with keeping the secret. The film’s writer and director, Lulu Wang, joins “CBS This Morning” to talk about her breakout film and how it was inspired by her own family.
