Biden nominates Adm. Lisa Franchetti as first woman to lead Navy
President Biden has nominated Adm. Lisa Franchetti to serve as the next Chief of Naval Operations. If confirmed by the Senate, she would be the first woman in U.S. history to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
