Tennessee inmate awake after surviving execution attempt
Tennessee inmate Christa Pike is awake and speaking as she receives treatment after surviving the state's attempt to execute her, according to her attorneys. Pike was convicted of murdering a classmate in 1995 and last week became the first woman in modern U.S. history to survive an execution attempt.
