More victims come forward in DFW jewelry store fraud probe

Additional victims have come forward after CBS News Texas first reported on a large fraud investigation tied to two DFW jewelry stores. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office says those new reports total $2.1 million in losses. Authorities have seized more than $30 million in gold and silver from the stores, which remain crime scenes. A Frisco location was also hit with a stop‑work order after officials say an illegal gold‑melting operation was discovered during a raid. Nine people are now in jail following a year‑long investigation into a scheme targeting elderly victims.
