Measles outbreak in West Texas escalates to 48 cases

A fast-growing measles outbreak in West Texas has escalated from two children in one county to 48 people across multiple counties in just two weeks. Authorities have also confirmed cases in nearby New Mexico. Measles, a highly contagious airborne illness causing rash, fever, red eyes, and coughing, has primarily affected unvaccinated children.
