House passes health care bill to cut premiums, but ACA tax credits set to expire

The House passed a health care bill aimed at lowering insurance premiums, but it does not extend Affordable Care Act tax credits, which expire at year’s end. Losing those credits will cause premiums to rise sharply in the new year. The bill now heads to the Senate, where its future is uncertain and would require support from several Democrats to pass.
