Extreme cold leaves thousands without power across the South

A deep freeze continues to grip much of the country, adding to misery in the South where trees and power lines remain coated in ice. More than 100,000 residents are still without electricity, and officials say new falling limbs keep undoing repair efforts. In Nashville, some families are relying on blankets and generators as they go without heat. More than 70 million Americans remain under extreme cold warnings.
