ERCOT asks residents to avoid possible energy emergency
ERCOT is stressing we're not in an emergency yet, but we could get close. If ERCOT does enter emergency operations, there are three levels of an energy emergency. At level 2, you will be asked to voluntarily conserve. Then at level 3, controlled outages are possible. In the meantime, that is why they are asking all of us to conserve power.
