DART OKs new funding plan to keep cities in the system

DART has approved a six‑year plan to return a growing share of sales‑tax revenue to member cities in an effort to keep them from leaving the transit system. The board passed the measure 10–1. Cities would receive 5% back in the first year, rising to 7.5% by year six, and — combined with $75 million from the Regional Transportation Council — would see a total 10% funding boost by 2031.
