Dallas ISD highlights student success built on academics — and confidence

Dallas ISD leaders say the district is “having a moment,” with 70% of campuses now rated A or B and achievement gaps continuing to close. That progress, advocates say, comes from years of work inside and outside the classroom. One example is a Dallas high school junior who’s already taking college‑level courses and dreaming of becoming a real estate broker. As she helped younger students hunt for Easter eggs, she said she’s focused on college and big goals ahead — a reflection of the district’s broader push to build both academic skills and student confidence.
