Controversial Oncor power line plan moves forward near Dinosaur Valley
Oncor is moving ahead with a controversial plan to build more than 200 miles of high‑voltage transmission lines from Somervell County to Howard County. Part of the proposed route could run near Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, where community members argue the project threatens tourism and federally protected wildlife. Despite the pushback, Oncor says it will continue with the project.
