Artemis II astronauts begin journey home after week of lunar‑prep tests

The Artemis II crew is one week into their 9½‑day mission. It has started the trip home after completing manual‑piloting tests and other experiments meant to prepare future astronauts for long‑duration space travel and a long‑term lunar presence. They woke to David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” before the day’s work, which NASA leaders say is part of the broader push to return to the Moon as the next step in human exploration.
