Local, state and federal agencies announced the results of "Operation Showdown," calling it one of the largest enforcement initiatives in recent Fort Worth history.
Overdose deaths have slowed 18% since a peak last year, the CDC estimates.
Nearly 17 pounds total of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine were found in the car. More than 1,610 pounds of illegal drugs were seized in the region last week, according to Customs and Border Protection.
