New federal labor figures forecast the fastest-growing U.S. job sectors over the next decade.
Friday's jobs report showed employers shed jobs last month, rather than adding 95,000 new hires that had been forecast by economists.
A recent white paper by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas concludes that the record number of illegal immigrants during the Biden administration had a big impact on housing prices, rents, and employment growth.
Economists had forecast a gain of 60,000 jobs last month. The unexpected drop was due to job losses in health care and the federal government.
The monthly job gains were slightly below the 55,000 forecast by economists, according to a poll by FactSet.
Economists had expected CPI to rise at an annual rate of 3% last month.
The unemployment rate in November rose to 4.6%, its highest level since September 2021.
The September jobs report, which was delayed due to the government shutdown, comes amid a slowdown in hiring across the U.S.
E.J. Antoni, an economist nominated by President Trump to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, said the jobs report is flawed.
President Trump said he ordered his administration to fire Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner Erika McEntarfer after the July jobs report.
