Wonderful Weekend in Progress

Saturday morning the low at DFW was 66°, the third coldest morning this summer (it was down to 65° on August 20th and June 2nd). Dry air behind a cold front has been filtering in since Friday afternoon. Look how the dewpoints dropped from 70° yesterday morning to 44° this afternoon, the lowest the daytime dewpoint has been since Spring:

Sunday morning looks to be the coolest morning since June 1st. We'll have a low around 64°. The humidity will stay low as winds turn to the southeast overnight:

There is a slight chance of storms in our northwest corner overnight. This risk spreads into the metro area for Sunday morning:

The weather pattern shifts back to the hot and dry weather that has dominated our skies since the start of July. An upper-level high will set right over us by mid-week, bringing highs back in the mid-90's. There is a chance for another cold front to arrive next weekend to give us a chance of storms.
