Woman Survives Attack On TCU Campus

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are searching for a man who attacked a woman at the northwest corner of Ed Landreth Hall around 7 p.m. Sunday, according to a crime alert from TCU Police.
The suspect is described as a clean shaven Hispanic male with medium length dark hair. He is approximately 19-22 years of age, standing 5'8" and weighing 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a bright colored design on the front and black basketball shorts.
The attacker demanded the victim's cellphone, according to the alert. When she refused, the man struck her four times with a hard object on the back of the head and threatened to shoot her. As the suspect attempted to wrestle the woman's cell phone from her hands, she bit him. She was then able to get up and run back into Ed Landreth Hall to notify the police.
Her attacker was last seen running westbound on Cantey street.
The woman isn't a TCU student. She was treated for injuries on the scene by the Fort Worth Fire Department and Medstar paramedics.
