Winter Carriage Rides Keep Workers In The Cold

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Even on the coldest night of the year in North Texas, some people have to clock in for work outside.

"We are constantly trying to figure out what the weather is... will we wear eight layers or if we should wear six layers?" asked carriage driver, Tifani Lee.

Carriage drivers in Highland Park said that they work, on average, about seven hours a night during the month of December.

Weather dictates business in the carriage driving profession, according to Lee.

"Some people don't like it to be cold and so they will cancel," she said.

But this week's dip in temperatures hasn't hurt business, in fact, it has helped.
