Where is West Nile?

West Nile Virus has been absent from our North Texas summer, and public health officials say there may be an explanation.   Neither Dallas or Tarrant County health departments have been able to find any of the virus in hundreds of mosquito samples.    Dallas County Public Health Department entomologist Morgan Kohut says there may have been too much rain.  In Tarrant County, David Jefferson with the Public Health Department says they have not found any mosquitoes carrying West Nile.  He says it's good news, but a bit puzzling.  He says the reason may go back to birds not carrying the virus.    Both say the situation could reverse as we head into August the busiest time for West Nile Virus.
