Weather Delaying TxDOT Pothole Repair
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The extreme weather will mean lingering work for Texas Department of Transportation crews.
Once the sand trucks and snow plows are parked, TxDot immediately shifts into road repair mode. "We'll expect to have a lot more reports of pot holes over the next week or two," said TxDot spokesman Michael Peters.

Peters talks with KRLD's Matt Thomas
Peters says the forecast is looking really good for repairing the road ruts they will be alerted to over the next several days. Winter pot holes are caused by water getting into cracks and freezing up. Peters says temporary repairs are relatively inexpensive, but more costly fixes are often needed when the weather is this extreme.
