Watauga "Free Speech" Suit
A north Texas case of free speech is headed to Federal court.
The man arrested last March for carrying a political sign outside a Watauga polling place is suing the city. Chris Howe's suit contends a Watauga city ordinance prohibiting politicking on public property is a violation of free speech. Criminal charges against Howe were thrown out by a judge in August. Attorney Erin Lew says Howe was outside the state-mandated 100 feet from a polling place.
