Warm and Dry

Another day in the 80's today, only slightly cooler tomorrow.  If you are heading to the last Saturday night on the Midway at the State Fair of Texas bring a jacket:

Tomorrow? Not as chilly tomorrow morning but an east wind should keep temperatures in check at little through the day. Good weather to get some yard work done, especially if you start a little early:

We've been dry this year, half of the state is in drought with most of north Texas in the Extreme or Exceptional Drought category. Rain chances look rather slim this week. I'm optimistically forecasting some rain by Thursday night and Friday. This will come from an upper-level low breaks off the northern jet stream and drifts south over Texas:

If this indeed happens and it's strong enough we'll have some rain, perhaps even some thunderstorms:

But a quick read of the general upper-air pattern makes it look like mostly warm and dry weather to end the month with. The Climate Predication Center   forecasts a good chance of above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall:
