Vigil Being Held For TWU Student Found Dead In Grapevine Park

COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A vigil is being held this evening for Jacqueline Vandagriff, the Texas Woman's Unversity student found murdered near Grapevine Lake last week - she had been dismembered and burned.
Police have arrested Charles Dean Bryant, 30, of Haslet. He has been charged with Capital Murder.
Social media accounts, surveillance video and cell phone pings all put Vandagriff and Bryant, a fitness trainer, together at a bar in Denton and eventually at his home. Investigators say there's evidence someone had started digging a hole in Bryant's backyard. The spot is where officials say he initially tried to bury Vandagriff. Bryant is also seen on video buying a shovel around 4:40 a.m. on September 14 at a nearby Walmart.
Records show this is not Bryant's first brush with the law. He was arrested for criminal tresspassing and stalking an ex-girlfriend earlier this year. In that case the woman filed a restraining order against him.
The body of Jacqueline Vandagriff was found in Acorn Woods Park. Investigators say it's unclear exactly what caused the nutrition student's death.
The candlelight vigil begins at 6:00 p.m. at Frisco Commons Park at 8000 McKinney Road, in Frisco.
