Very Nice Weather Continues
Just about ideal Spring weather this weekend continues into our Monday. We'll start Monday morning with a little chill in the air, it'll be in the low 50's in the urban and suburban areas and in the upper 40's in the rural areas. But ample sunshine and dry air will allow temperatures to reach the low 70's. The north wind continues so day four of this very low humidity, dew points should only be in the 40' s(when it gets in the 60's you start to notice that its muggy out there).
Tuesday the winds turn to the southeast, humidity will be just a little higher but still in the comfortable range. temperatures will get close to 80°, still below normal for this time of year.
On Wednesday we suspect the dry line to start to fire up again; afternoon storms in our western edge by Wednesday afternoon and evening. Some of these storms might make a run for a the metro area by sundown but quickly falter. Highs will be get into the upper 80's so the May heat is back (but certainly not bad; we are not expecting 90° weather during the entire week of the Colonial Golf Tournament).
On Thursday the dry line will be a little more active as some energy from a west coast system skirts us to the north. This increase the chances for more storms and puts the chance of severe weather on the table for the afternoon and evening. On Friday a frontal boundary should sweep in and get some widespread rains going; right now this looks like our best chance of rain this coming week. The set-up would again suggest the risk of severe weather, we'll update you as we get closer. Thursday and Friday will be a little windy as well, SSW 15-25mph.
