Trending: Muttbombing, Top Gun Frame By Frame, President Hamilton?

MUTTBOMBING

A Dallas pet shelter is trying something new -- in hopes that it will help some deserving pets find a loving home.

Dallas Pets Alive is pairing pics of their dogs with celebrity selfie photos.

They call it "muttbombing" instead of photo bombing.

Actor Ryan Gosling and singer Miley Cyrus have been muttbombed.

The muttbombs come with a message.  For example, the one posted with the picture of Kim Kardashian reads, "If you adopt me, I wouldn't mind changing my name to something more Kardashian friendly like Karl, Ken, or Kalvin.  My name is Royce (for now) and I'm mutt bombing you in hopes of finding a home."

The photos started popping up on the web last week and already the shelter's executive director says it's working.

TOP GUN FRAME BY FRAME

Normally it would take you about two hours to watch the 1986 classic Top Gun.

But if you are very patient, you can watch it over the next couple of months over Twitter.

Someone is tweeting the movie, frame by frame.

It started with a tweet of a black screen almost on January 23.

Since then every 30 minutes, a new tweet with the next shot is posted -- including dialogue typed at the bottom.

This is a tweet from January 29, showing a flying scene with Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer.

Today, the beginning of the bar scene where the guys sing that loving feeling was posted.

The account has posted nearly 12 hundred tweets -- all Top Gun, all the time.

PRESIDENT HAMILTON?

To celebrate president's day, Groupon announced it was offering 10 dollar discounts in honor of the president on the 10 dollar bill, Alexander Hamilton.

The original tweet read -- "Celebrate presidents day by honoring Alexander Hamilton. Discount code available here..." with picture of Hamilton on the cover of Time magazine and the headline "Redefining the Presidency."

Almost immediately, Groupon started getting tweets -- like this one from @ckcharm  -- "Hamilton was never president, though he was Secretary of Treasury. Not an opinion - just a fact."

Groupon responded, writing, "Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree!"

The company is getting a lot of buzz for it's fuzzy stance on American history -- and has even inspired the fake Twitter account @Prez Alexander Hamilton.
