Texas DBs Overwhelmed By OU, No. 6 Cowboys Up Next
AUSTIN (AP) A week after getting shredded by Oklahoma's passing attack, the Texas Longhorns have to get ready for No. 6 Oklahoma State and the nation's highest-scoring offense.
The Cowboys scored 70 last week against Kansas behind senior quarterback Brandon Weeden and All-American receiver Justin Blackmon.
Last week, No. 22 Texas gave up 300 yards passing by halftime in a 55-17 loss to Oklahoma. Texas has freshman and sophomores in its two-deep rotation at cornerback and could be facing another long day on Saturday.
Weeden averages 376 yards passing per game. Blackmon ripped Texas for 145 yards and a 67-yard touchdown in an Oklahoma State win last season.
