DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Seems like some North Texans will go to great lengths to find Pokemon.

The new Pokemon Go mobile game, that sends players wandering around trying to catch characters in real-life locations, is all the rage. Users download the app and run across town trying to find Pokemon characters and they're using some unusual resources to complete their tasks.

Cowboy Cab Company employee Saied Rafie said, "Recently we've been receiving calls for people requesting taxis for a few hours."

Rafie said while people aren't being specific about why they want the taxi they are asking specific questions. "They want to know what the rate is, what's the hourly rate, and what it is per mile -- so they can hire these taxis for two to three hours," he said.

Another 'indicator' that the increase in calls a Cowboy Cab is Pokemon-related is the age of the callers. Rafie said, "They're mostly young adults. These are young voices we're hearing."

In addition to taxis, pedicabs – those tricycle-like shuttle services for hire – are also seeing a customer boom sine Pokemon Go was released. People are hoping in the seat and letting the operator pedal them around while they play the game.
