COLLEGE STATION (AP) - The Texas A&M Forest Service will be marking its 100th anniversary with help from the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

Agency officials say an exhibit about the Forest Service opens March 16 and runs through Nov. 8.

It's called "History in the Making: Texas A&M Forest Service."

The agency will sponsor 100-tree giveaways and make commemorative tree presentations in all 254 Texas counties this year. There's also a new edition of the 1970 book "Famous Trees of Texas: Texas A&M Forest Service Centennial Edition."

The centennial celebration kicked off at the annual Texas A&M AgriLife Conference in early January. Further details on additional events were released Thursday.
