Teen's Steer Goes For $101K at State Fair Auction

A teenager from Nocona has $30,000 dollars for his college fund, although he had to give up nearly three-quarters of a ton of beef to get it.  Fifteen-year-old Shelby Womack had the Champion Steer at the Texas State Fair Youth Livestock Auction where  J-Q, an Austin-based engineering and consulting firm, and Phoenix Restoration and Construction, paired up to pay more than $100,000 dollars for Womack's steer.  He gets to keep 30,000 of that and the rest goes to the State Fair scholarship fund.
