Superfans Believe TCU Horned Frogs Can Clinch A National Title

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The TCU Horned Frogs have never won a college baseball national title... but don't tell their three biggest supporters it's not going to happen this year. Kennedy and Chelsea, TCU sophomore cheerleaders, are driving with their friends to Omaha Friday night.

They say their trip won't get them there until Saturday morning. From there, they'll watch TCU battle LSU in their first game of the college world series Sunday at 2pm. Then, it's back on the road so they can return to class Monday.

The craziest part of this entire excursion is they're making the journey exclusively as fans. Asked what gives them confidence that TCU can defy history, they both calmly replied - "the baseball players are our friends and if they're not worried, why should we be worried?

TCU mascot Superfrog is obviously a toad of few words. However, his gestures made it clear. LSU will not stand in the way of TCU getting to it's ultimate goal. After two straight weeks of miraculous finishes, it's the Horned Frogs who have "The Eye Of The Tiger".

Superfrog showed how he expects TCU to muscle it's way toward the school's first major college national championship since 1938 (the football team won the national title that year).

He also demonstrated how he almost croaked during that 16 inning victory over Texas A&M that sent them to the College World Series. Superfrog wasn't bashful about breaking out his best moves, as an indication that TCU's dance isn't nearly over. In fact, it's just begun.
