Storms and Big Rains Ahead

After a nice start to May (just in time for the weekend) we are getting ready to return to that wet weather that so characterized April.

The high pressure that set over the top of us across the weekend is moving to the east. This brings up the humidity around today and storms by Tuesday:

 

A much stronger low pressure system dominates the west coast mid-week. This locks down the wet pattern for the rest of the week into the weekend:

 

The best rain chances show up on Tuesday and Wednesday. The strongest storms will form along the dry line on Tuesday in our western counties and threaten the metro area by evening:

 

We expect some heavy rain with all this. This could go a long way to helping the low lakes in our western edge. The rain chances go on all the way into Sunday: Here is the extended.
