Storm Chances Return for North Texas

There were a few scattered showers and thunderstorms this morning mainly north and east of Dallas this morning.  Tonight the best chance of rain will be west and southwest of Dallas.

TORNADO WATCH FOR THE PANHANDLE

A Tornado Watch is in effect for the Texas Panhandle.

Thunderstorms are developing east of Lubbock.  These will organize and dive southeastward later tonight.  This will keep them mainly SW of DFW.  But a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible tonight.  If any rain makes it to DFW it would be around 10pm to 2am.

RAIN CHANCES TOMORROW MORNING

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible after 2am for the DFW area.  This chance of rain will continue thru the morning.  And in the afternoon a few isolated thunderstorms will once again be possible.  A few severe storms is possible, but the main threat would be gusty winds and some hail.

A few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Saturday with coverage running about 20%.  Highs near 90 degrees.

SUNDAY AND MEMORIAL DAY

Hot, muggy and dry.  Temperatures will be right around 90 degrees.
