Spring Into The Work Week

A great weekend of weather will continue into the first half of the work week. Tomorrow expect lots of sunshine, not a lot of wind and highs in the low 70's again:

Tuesday the winds turn to the south so it'll be a little warmer. Notice how the really warm air (upper 70's) spreads in from the west when you compare Monday's highs with Tuesday's highs:

A large pool of cold arctic air makes its way into the Central Plains by mid-week. We get only a glancing blow of this; we have some light rain in the forecast on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. It'll be a strong northwest wind overnight into Thursday morning. We'll go from highs in the 70's to highs in the low 50's by Thursday:

But like I said, a glancing blow. We'll start a nice warm-up heading into next weekend:

As we have often talked about over the last two months the hope has been that a mild El Nino this winter would bring some good rain amounts heading into Spring. This weeks that is not the story. Just take a look at the TOTAL rainfall forecast from Monday to next Saturday. Dry weather is the story for the drought areas of Texas:
