The former mother-in-law of an accused serial murderer is from Arlington and is speaking out. 
It ends up Elias Abuelazam was once married to Jessica Nimitz of Arlington.  And while she isn't talking yet, her mother Kimberly Hirth is.  Abuelazam is accused of stabbing at least 18, killing five and injuring another 13.
Hirth said her daughter and Abuelazam had a good relationship at first but that he became abusive toward the end.  The victims stretch through three states; Ohio, Michigan and Virginia.  Kimberly tells KRLD that she and her daughter are very upset by all of this and pass on their condolences to the families.
Abuelazam was arrested in Atlanta as he was about to board a plane for his native Israel.
