Scattered storms west of DFW this evening, spotty rain tonight, severe threat tomorrow.

Here's a look at the radar at 830pm.

These storms are weakening as they are losing the heating from the day and the Cap is stronger over North Texas.  We may see a few showers arrive along the I-35W corridor around 11pm, but no severe weather is expected here in the Metro area overnight.

TOMORROW MORNING:
Spotty showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible tomorrow morning for the morning commute.  No severe weather expected at this time.

TOMORROW AFTERNOON:

We are still under a Slight Risk of severe weather for tomorrow.  The time frame for severe weather is roughly 2pm to 8pm.

The threat of severe weather will greatly depend on how much rain we have in the morning.  If it rains most of the morning, no severe weather.  If we don't have much rain in the morning, and skies clear quickly; severe weather will be a greater threat.  Not everyone will see storms tomorrow either.  The coverage of storms will roughly be about 50%.  And it will favor eastern and southern areas of North Texas.

STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE

The strong upper level disturbance heading our way is now over the four-corners area.  It will really provide an unstable air mass for us tomorrow afternoon.  That will bring the potential for big storms if we get some daytime heating.  Large hail, high winds and isolated tornadoes will be possible.
