Rockwall County Judge Arrested For DWI

ROCKWALL (CBSDFW.COM) - Rockwall County Judge David Sweet was arrested early Friday morning and charged with DWI.
Rockwall Police say Sweet was pulled over for traffic violations around 12:20 a.m. after leaving an El Chico restaurant.
He declined a breath test but failed a field sobriety test.
This is a first time offense making it a Class B misdemeanor.
Sweet posted a $1,000 bond several hours after his arrest.
Sweet was elected County Judge in November 2014. He served as Rockwall Mayor for two terms before that.
